As
MCS is a Catholic School, Biblical knowledge has been added to
the primary common-core (CC) curriculum. This curriculum includes
Chinese, English, Mathematics, Primary Science, General Studies,
Computer, Putonghua, Music, Physical Education and Art and Craft.
Our school is one of the few English-medium primary schools in
Hong Kong. Except Chinese, Social Studies and Biblical Knowledge
which are taught in Cantonese and Putonghua taught in Putonghua,
all classes are conducted in English. Though an EMI school, we
have always aimed at maintaining a high standard of Chinese, so
that our students have a firm base in both languages to help them
proceed to secondary education.
There are thirty classes in the primary school, with five classes
in each grade, from Primary 1 to Primary 6. There are about 40
students in each class. The Primary 6 students are allocated secondary
school places through the Secondary School Places Allocation
(SSPA) System. |
