School History

Feb 11, 1925 Maryknoll Convent School is opened with 12 students in the convent parlour at 103 Austin Road.
1931 MCS moves to Prince Edward Road.
1937 MCS occupies the new building in Waterloo Road and Boundary Street.
1941 Maryknoll Sisters leave Hong Kong during Japanese occupation.
1945 Maryknoll Sisters return to Hong Kong and reopen the school.
1960 A new building is opened at 5 Ho Tung Road for the Secondary Section. The Primary Section remains in the Waterloo Road Building.
1975 Maryknoll Convent School celebrates its Golden Anniversary.
May 1992 The MCS Educational Trust is founded to advance education at Maryknoll.
Jan 1995 70th Anniversary of MCS, opening of MCS Secondary Section Jockey Club Wing.
1997 Whole-day School
